Fender Bassman 70... Tell me more.

Sign in to disble this ad
So my school has a Fender Bassman 70 (silverface) with a matching 2x15" cab that they DON'T use. They've got another bass amp and another guitar amp, and they really don't like using this amp at all.

I plugged it in the other day just out of curiosity and it sounded AMAZING with my Stingray.

I'm thinking about asking somebody around there if they'd want to sell (or maybe give) it to me since it's just sitting around collecting dust.

Can anybody tell me about these amps? Can they crossover like the old Bassmans? What would be a good price for this amp; it seems to be in excellent condition with the only flaw being two small punctures in the front grill cloth and a slightly scratchy volume pot.
