Fender Bassman TV Question

Sign in to disble this ad
I've had a TV 12 for a few months now and I really like the tone I'm getting with a P-Bass, but I was wondering would replacing the 12AX7 with a nicer tube help the sound or should I just keep the tube thats in there for now?

While differences in tubes can be heard in some preamps, it's a lot more subtle than most threads here would lead you to think. I would not bother unless you just feel like spending $100 experimenting with "better" tubes.

Ok, thanks. I really like this amp so I was just wondering if there was any way it could sound better. It sounds great already, so no worries.
