Fender Bassman TV Ten Question...

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi,

i've seen a couple of older threads on these combo's, but have a further question hoping somebody can help with.

I'm really interested in a TV ten combo, mostly for home use, and wondered if it was too loud for home use? What i mean is, can you open it up a bit and get some nice tones from it at sensible, apartment block volumes??

cheers!

Depends on who your neighbors are. I play mine at home and it is pretty loud for my uses. When I want something quieter, I play my Ampeg BA112 or my B50R.

The Fender is a great combo, it is VERY much like my Ampegs in tone. And it is light too. I say get it, you can always turn down!

gain (pre) - master (post)

I wonder if the lack of gain and master volume knobs (has volume only) would make it harder to get a good tone at lower volumes. The TV 12 has a gain and master volume knob. Or you might be able to get one of those attenuators to use in between the amp and speaker?
