Fender BXR 100, 300 watts

Sign in to disble this ad
I just bought a fender bxr 100 from guitar center. On the back its stamped with 300 watts and definitely sounds like it. I have the graphic equalizer on mine as well. Has anyone else ever seen a 300 watt bxr 100?

I think your confusing your amps input power draw with output. A lot of amps will will state the power they draw on the back of the amp which is not the power they are putting out.

The BXR series are pretty loud for their rating, but as these guys stated, the watts you see (which was right next to the power cord correct?) is input power.

thanks guys. And it does get pretty loud especially with the graphic equalizer adding 84 decibels. The guy at guitar center told me thats how much it puts out but apparently not. Still good for $175

Also, you don't add all of the 7 EQ boost values together to get the total. The maximum boost you're going to get at any setting is going to be approximately 12 dB - assuming, of course, that the signal doesn't clip first! 100 Watts is all you will get at any frequency.
