To answer the question, if you are looking for a nice amp, and you'd like to stay with fender, check out the bassman series. The 200 is very nice. I had the 100, but just returned it and upgraded to the 200 cuz my drummer is a loud guy, and i could use the extra headroom. Also, the 100 has a piezo, and the 200 has a foster, i dont have the best ears around, but i could totally tell the difference, the foster blows the piezo outta the water. It's definately worth shelling out the extra bucks....fender sucked it up big with the BXR \or whatever, but the bassman=COMPLETE REDEMPTION!
Peace

I was in Sam Ash, I tried the 100 if I was buying I would get the 400 and buy a cab to go with it. Lots of headroom there.

I am not an answerer but an asker. What I meant by that was that I didn't quite get why that was. Like when you get 2 sets of directions to somebody's house and you can't figure out which one is correct. I was just confused by the conflicting data. |

Ok, those Fender BXR amps were a thing of the 80's, (arguably the worst period in Fender's history), and that line of bassamps are among the worst ever made. I'd have a Basic Peavey before a BXR 200. And, with the even better choices available these days,(including Fender Bassman's), even more reason to NOT get a BXR combo.

| | | | I was also looking for information on a Fender BXR200, and I found it...I also found out why it seemed to be such a "Good deal" haha. Thank you for the info. While I am here, can I assume the Fender Bassman combos are much better than the BXRs? |
