For practice, I play a Fender BXR 300 Combo, it's loaded with a 1x15.
It sounds very nice !! With me Mesa M2000 the tone is great!

I've never opend it (it's a closed combo) but as far as I know it's loaded with eminence speaker.
Electro Voice are great speakers, it should sound sweet to but different.

thanks for the tip...historically speaking, i've found that anything loaded with eminence usually accepts EV and works well. sonic cabs or the old sunn cabs always worked very well with EVs...the fender bxr box i'm looking at is roughly the same size as a sunn cab. the speakers are staggered almost corner to corner with what appears to be a 4" port for each driver...i'm guessing for $100 its worth taking a chance on.

I have one of those in great shape. I use it sometimes. Sounds pretty good.
