Fender BXR 300c Help

So a buddy of mine drops this large cabinet off at my house, says he found it and thought I might want it. Its a BXR300c cabinet with a speaker. Well the driver turned out to be a MTX car audio speaker, and it was blown. The amp is long gone. What should I do with this thing?

Is it worth putting a new speaker into? What driver would you use?

Will any other chassis fit into the amp or should I just use it as a cab?

Or should I donate it to the recycle center?

no amp and a blown speaker? man, i would strip it of hardware and ditch it. it is super-duper heavy--- very solidly constructed, but out of particle board, so it weighs a ton. and frankly, it isnt anything special, especially as an extension cab. i would only keep it if you had a speaker on hand to stick in there. at least then you wouldnt be out anything to try it.

Hey i have a BXR 60 & man these things sound good for something that you can jam at home with. I wouldnt think it would go good at band pratice but for home use its great.

DId a little modding of the cabinet. I added Rack mount rails an mounted a half rack 150w mono power amp. I am also going to build a second half rack B15N/B25B preamp, should be done this weekend. Now all I need is a speaker. Looking for cheap but good, any suggestions.
