Fender BXR Spectrum

Sign in to disble this ad
I just got my hands on an older BXR Spectrum cab for a crazy good deal. The only problem with it is the 18 guy has a garnly tear in it. Too long to fix, but I'm not sure I want to recone it (never done it before, woner if it's worth it?).

The speaker is unmarked, and the little bit of research that I've done suggests that it was an 8ohm 300 watt speaker, but I can't actually find any docs on it.

Any help out there on a rad replacement driver? The crossover is working great, and the 2 tens sound fantastic, i just get annoying buzz from the tear on the 18 when I hit the lows. I don't play 5 string, so I never hit that low B, but sometimes I drop to D in case that matters.

Thanks.
