Got the TB600 used for $600 early last year. I replaced the 12AX7's that came in it with 1966 silver halo, gray getter GE's and this thing can range from old school to slap with room to move. Ramp up time on the settings. Once you've got them you're done.
The TB600 has been reviewed here before: Fender "Tube Bass" TB600 Head

I've done a lot of searching, and from what I found he uses the Fender 1200 head, a few Fender 810 cabs, and a 62 RI p-bass. Right now I used an Aguilar DB750, GS410 cab, and a hot rodded Geddy Lee Jazz (which I love!) but has a completely different sound than what I'm going for.
