I heard a rumor that Fender is going to release an all tube amp called the Super Bassman? Anyone have any solid info on it?

I thought they stopped producing the 300-watter?

I know I haven't heard any rumors of an all new all tube bass head from them. They have been testing the waters in the fly weight bass amp market through their SWR division, and of course the new Rumble 350 head in the Rumble series of budget bass amps. Who knows if they have anything new, tube or otherwise cooking for the Bassman series?

Yes, those photographs sure do show some pretty gear....but, I do wonder if any info can be found concerning what we see in that image?

While that photo looks good, they're gonna have to bring a substantively upgraded product to the table.
If that's all "reissue grade" stuff, I'm not interested.

Looks like a rebadged Sunn to me. Should be a good amp if it is.

That's the old 300, not the new stuff.
And yes, great amp, and Sunn clone.

You know, I don't know if they are or they aren't, but it would make sense, if you think about it...Ampeg, as of late, seems to be walking down "memory lane" (I like that!!) and now it seems as though Fender has "caught the bug" as well...

Frankly, as an old dude, I think it is pretty sweet!

It has the potential to be pretty sweet.

Traynor has now proved that 300 watts can indeed be effectively packaged, and cost efficient.
The speaker cabs can easily be improved from those that were used back in the day.

The only question seems to be "did they do it well."

I'd totally dig a Fender reissue rig, that's what I came up on.
