Question fender rumble 350 vs. fender tv duo ten 350w

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm considering purchasing either the Fender Rumble 350 or Fender Bassman TV Duo Ten. I like the tone better on the TV, but I also don't dislike the Rumble. The Rumble offers some additional features, the same power (350W), and is half the price.

I'm curious what other bassists think between the two amps, what you think the TV offers the Rumble doesn't. I play alternative/folk rock.

Thanks.

SAME THING!

I'm looking at the same two so if you don't mind, I'll be watching any replies to this thread very closely!

The one time I played through a Rumble I was very unhappy. It wasn't the 210, but let's just say I brought went back to bringing my own amp after that.
I imagine the TV210 is a nice enough amp, but for $1000 there are a lot of options that would be better IMO.

There is something about the Fender Rumble amps that is appealing. I own GB but the Fender is different and not all bad. It seems a little warmer than my Genz. I played a 350 yesterday for a while and liked it. At half the price of a TV I'd probably go that way, but that's just me.

Depends on your wants and needs. I play 50s and early 60s style music, so the Bassman TV series is much better for me. I have the TV 10 and TV 12 and love the sound. I tried the Rumble combos, and did NOT like the tone. More modern sounding, to my ears. I used to like basses and amps that could do "everything" then I realized I don't do "everything." I do a specific thing, so now I buy gear that does just THAT.

I did go with the TV 15. The tone ended up being the big difference and fit our style of music better. After the first band rehearsal with it, I can say that I made the right decision
