I recently got these items as a graduation present. It could be that I was, until recently, using an old Peavey TKO 115 combo, but the Fender stack sounds amazing!
The cabinet appears to be made out of a very durable material, or so the weight would suggest. It is not the lightest amp out there, but hopefully that means it will not break anytime soon!
I got the 150W head to go along with the cabinet. It has outputs for 2 cabinets, an XLR line out, instrument input (derp), and an RCA aux input (My dad plugged his video camera into this, and with the volume turned almost completely off on the amp it still sounded like the volume was all the way up!). It also has an Overdrive function, with Punch and Scoop settings; Punch gives a big boost to the lows, while Scoop gives a boost to the lows, and highs, but cuts the mids down.
Also, the head weighs less than 6 lbs! To keep it from rattling off of the cab, Fender used magnets (how do they work?) to keep it in place. On the times I have used it on gigs, it appears to be very stable!
The owners manual has a section that shows a list of suggested settings, depending on your style of play, ie, Finger Rock, Pick Rock, Slap, Country, Blues, etc.. I use the Finger Rock settings, tweaking a few settings in the Highs, and High Mids, and the amp has almost a distortion-y sound to it.
I play on a Peavey Cirrus 5-string, and even without the Punch setting on this amp does not shy away from the lows. It doesn't have the sound of a 15", but it does a pretty good job at handling my open B.
Considering this is my first cab, I am more than pleased with it, and if you are in the market for a new amp, I would suggest you give this one a try out!
Also, first post!

(besides my introductory post....)
