A friend who is the house bass player at the open mic & acoustic nights at my bar uses a Rumble 350 and 410 with a J Bass and it gets thunderous. I'm on the fence about a Shuttle 9.2 or a Rumble as an affordable backup. |

I think the name "Rumble" tends to turn people away as that line in its early years wasn't particularly great. These new heads are good quality and sound great especially for the price. Kind of reminds me of an Ampeg PF series head but with a more hi fi top end. Very clear sounding, and very loud for the wattage. The distortion circuit isn't great IMO. I bought one to use as a practice amp as well, and it MIGHT now get some stage time |

| | | | My first amp was a Fender Rumble 60 and I love it to bits and pieces. I bought a second one off eBay this year and would gladly scoop up another. I also have an Eden Metro combo, and I end up using the Rumble far more often. I haven't gotten to play around with the newer ones, but I know they are voiced different. If only I could get the Rumble 60 sound from a larger rig... |

| | | | Definately a sleeper,,admittedly i wasnt using the best amp before i got one, peavey max450,,i lost 100 so called watts,, this amp is clean sounds awesome pushes my 410 crate cab wonderfully ,, i dont miss the extra watts at all cause the sound is so clear,,using the 350 by the way,, and the name rumble is the big prob i think,, kinda immature |

I purchased a Rumble 350 head and a Rumble 410 cab just in the last two weeks. I can't praise it enough. It seems that a lot of the big voices here prefer the more expensive name brands like Bergantino, Aguilar, Markbass, Avatar and whatever but I don't think these guys have ever tried this brand out. Personally, I think that people are, for sure, sheep, that will only consider a particular type of merchandise. Not saying that Fender Rumble is the Best and if you disagree, your wrong.
What I am saying is that the brand hasn't even been given a fair shot because of a stigma. If all of the gearheads here try this, I believe there would be more threads dealing with Rumble this or Rumble that. Maybe if Fender raised the price on the head or cab or the combo, maybe that alone would get the TB community to look its way. But as it is, the price puts this in a catagory of " its for beginners, kids, just hobbyists or simply a toy".
Gig it. Take it out into a bar a club or to a party or rehearsal with other musicians and listen to this baby perform.

But I am in agremment that many of the Fender amps are under appreciated. Not so much on the guitar side of things but certainly in the bass world, which always confused me. Fender guitar amps are the real deal, but because all their bass gear will always be SS it gets lumped with the cheap stuff.
Guitarist with $800 Fender combo = smart musician with potential for good tone
Bassist with $800 Fender rig = dumb bassist who only paid for the name
Hardly.

Again. I think you need to go to the stores and try things out.
I think my 410 sounds perfect for me. For what I do and for what I need to hear.
