Fender Rumble Amplifiers

I'm still kind of new to the electric bass. I bought a Squier Affinity Series set that came with a Rumble 15 amp. I really like the sound and am thinking about simply upgrading to the Rumble 350 to get more volume for when I start gigging. Are these good, sturdy, reliable amps? Any others you would recommend?

I think they are fine. That being said, there are a whole host of choices out there. Look through these forums and you'll get plenty of ideas.

Rumble 350 are ok. You could try a Line6 Lowdown head with a 410 cab. or even a Carvin Br410 w/ Bx500 head. It will have a little more tone and diverse sounds. But all are very good for gigging and reliable. I have used them all and had no problems with either. Good luck with decision. Remember an average bass through a good amp can sound good but an average bass through a cheap amp won't.

On MF website you can list the amps by "most popular" which means the ones that are selling the best. The Rumble 350 is never near the top, though it a good combo. The weight is about 70#, but the TC combo is also 70# and it seems to be selling. The GK combos are top sellers. I've never figured out why the Rumble just doesn't sell. The stores here in Orlando always have it on the floor.
