fender super sonic question

Sign in to disble this ad
so i tried one through a genz benz 610 at guitar center today and liked the tone alot. especially the overdrive channel. just thought it lacked a little low end umph. it has an effects loop and i was wondering if i put an eq in there and boosted the lows would it help or am i limited by the capabilities of the amps eq section?

that head is designed for guitar but if it sounds good to you then thats all that matters i guess, wouldn't be the first fender guitar head to be used for bass...

One of it's voices is supposed to be a bassman. I'll bet you can get a better low end driven tone by just cranking the amp (not on the dirty channel) set on that voice.

I think an EQ in front of the amp with the lows boosted will get you what you want.
