Fernandes Nomad Bass Speaker

Hi all,

I have a Fernandes Nomad that I take on the road with me from time to time to entertain myself after work. The amp sounds great plugged in, and it's OK using the built-in amp, but there's a bit too much treble and not enough oomph. I was wondering if a better speaker would help out? The speaker that's in it now is a 5" and all it says is 8 Ohm 10 Watt Taiwan.

Is it worth trying? How do you pick a replacement speaker, and where would I find one?

Thanks
Dan

The problem is probably not the spkr itself, but rather, the tiny enclosure it's in. I don't think you can expect any improvement, because what the spkr is IN, is as important as the spkr itself, and that tiny little space is never gonna get you "great sound". I think it is what it is.
