finally 100% happy with my rig

or the first time in my bass career, I am 100% happy/satisfied with my bass tone. im not happy that I have to use so much gear to come up with this perfect tone, but what I have put together smoothed out everything, added the mids that I needed to cut thru the mix, and still let me be the foundation for the band. right now my signal flow goes, 75' jazz bass -> strobostomp -> VT bass - > ernie ball volume -> mark bass compressore -> SFT -> Malekko 616 delay -> demeter tube DI -> markbass little mark II mic input -> schroeder 1212L cabinet

as an audio engineer, tone is incredibly important, and I have just come to the epitome of what ive been looking for.

right now Im in an alternative country/blues band but im also a session bass player and this rig makes me just as happy in the studio with multiple genres.

Congrats. Now you can concentrate on the playing

Seriously though, I feel that we bass players all have at least a touch of OCD and find ourselves at a loss when we finally need to adjust our rig no more...what to do with all that energy?
Hmm, oh yeah:

Again, glad you're happy!

I can relate to that... Saturday night, I was 110% happy with my gear. I found a sweet spot a couple of feet from my cabs and just hung there most of the night, except for when singing duties were called for, of course! I've just recently bought a new rig and have been thinking it was 2k that could have been more wisely spent. But after a bit of tweaking, I was blown away. Even my drummer and guitarist commented on how good it sounded. End result: One very happy bassist
