A DIY-rack combo would be sick. Would you want it in the combo or on it? Recessed inside or piggyback? I want one now!

Recessed, and that way the heads could be changed easy!

I'll bite - why does it have to be built-in?

Be cause the guitarists (dedicated driver to shows) truck has a tano cover, leaving little room for everyone's gear and none for merch, pluss I drive a civic so I'm low in space aswell

There was a thread about LDS making a couple folks some 2X10 combos for their carvin heads with racks built into the back of cab I believe. Might want to search for that thread. I wouldn't be able to post a link using my phones browser or I'd help more.

OK, but if you have a modular system, wouldn't that give you more transport options? Like maybe a small head (racked or not) and a couple of small cabs.

It just seems like with a combo (unless it is a REALLY small combo) that you limit your options as far as packing gear for transportation.

Here is the thread with the combo built by LDS. Nice looking rig!

Good luck on finding your dream rig.

that DR. Bass is it... if the LDS was 1x15 thats even more "it"

the thought behind the 1 combo is if i have to have a 410 anyway in the back, why not try and make something of similar size, but eliminate the rack box to pack too

i mean.. i supose i could get by with a 2U rack in it. so long as i can find a 1x15 cab @ 500W 4ohm OR 350W 8ohm (prefer the 8ohm)
