Finally finished my cab/amp stand

Sign in to disble this ad
A while back I posted this thread documenting the construction of a cabinet stand. I'd been wanting a sturdy custom (tall) stand for a while. So I built one and covered it in Duratex.

I finally got the front cover back from the drummer (graphic artist), who had it painted with the band's logo:

Here it is under my 410:

Back side, showing the removable cupholder and the recessed Furman power block on the back:

Works great for the 212 as well:

The front cover is removable (attached by magnets) so I can use the area underneath the stand for storage (gear bag) during the gig:

During load ins/outs, the stand becomes a gear carrier. I rounded over the base pieces to serve as "handles." Here it is with my gear bag in it, ready to go to the next gig:

Gorgeous Sadowsky!

Oh hey look, an amp stand!

That actually looks really nice. Great idea on the storage compartment as well.

That is extremely slick! I love the removable front and storage idea.
Did you make plans for it? That's a cool project!

Nice stand, but are you running an M9 and a power amp both?

That's really nice work. Well thought out.

That bass isn't too bad, either!

Thanks for the replies! No plans, just a lot of thinking over the span of a few weeks.

That would be a lot of power, LOL. The QSC power amp is for the band's stage monitors. I have to schlep the PA in addition to my rig. The ART headphone amp at the top is for the singer's and my wired IEMs.

+1. If you ever work up a plan, I'd be happy to pay for it.
