Finally, a fridge.

After 45 years of Ampegs I finally got an SVT 810 fridge. It's a '75 in pretty nice shape. Thanks Micah. Looks pretty cool with my V4B, but power is off at my practice space so didn't get to crank it up.

You won't like it, they sound terrible. What you really want to do is take my word for it, don't plug it in and try it (so you don't make anything worse), and pack it up and ship it to me. I love taking such lousy equipment from people so that they don't have to suffer... [/humor]

Nice! Gotta love the classic Ampeg.

Great Pics, nice rig. I have a newer Ampeg 810 (Heritage but that one looks great !) going into a CL.....It took me about 30 years to step up to a big rig. I laugh when so many want to go lite, like Bud Lite. Thing is once I stepped up to the 810, I couldn't get that grin off my face. Best of luck with your rig.

I hope you enjoy the cab. It was nice to meet a fellow TB'er.

Looks like a nice cab, enjoy it. Many arists use Ampeg 8x10's so they must be alright I suppose..

I had a very similar setup years back- an early 70s V4 with a 1976 8x10 cab. The tone was amazing. In the interest of my aching back, I have since sold both pieces of equipment. I have gear regret of course, but moving that stuff was becoming increasingly unrealistic, not to mention unpopular with the guitarist who always had to help me lift the fridge.

enjoy, it's a great sounding rig!
