So I have been looking locally for an amp and I have seen a couple. I am just looking for a practice/ small amp for now. It will mostly be used for practice and maybe in a couple months to practice with my two friends who have guitars.
The amps I have found are:
Crate BX 100
PEavey Basic 60
Ibanez SW65
What are the opinions on these and are they a good starter amp? Thanks for any help! |

I prefer the head/cab configuration over the combo. It allowed me to spend a little more on the cab than the head, in the begining(wanted to spend about $300--got the head for $92 and cab for $230). That way, I could take my time and find a better sounding head unit at a later time, when I have some money saved. I went with an Aguilar cab...cause I knew what brand I wanted to stick with. The GS112 is very portable and has an excellent sound. I highly recommend it.
I also saw alot of Ampeg combos when I was shopping. I considered either the 12 or 15 inch unit. |

I saw a nice GK 250-head and 15in cab in the Austin C.List today. Was asking $200.
How big a system do you think you will need? 10w-50w-100w? |
