first gig with Aguilar sl112's

This Friday I purchased two sl112's. They are replacing my GS210 cab. Today I had my first gig with the sl112's. It is the first time I played with a 12 inch speakers in a live performance. It sounded great played through a svt-3 pro amp with Fender American Precision with flats. The sl112's have enough bass-weight and still a quick response. I think the sound is very much in the Aguilar-ballpark , so mission accomplished for Dave Boonshoft. I didn't notice any annoying mid-tones that are associated with neo-speakers. In fact i got lots of compliments on the sound (and looks). My back totally agrees with light weight of the cabs especially after a 3 hour set.

Those are really slick looking cabs. I look forward to checking them out sometime at a GTG or whatever!

Great cabs. Rehearsed with them yesterday. The band did notice the difference from the Berg AE 410 I always use . Have a gig on Saturday, will report back. Amp used is a SWR 550X, have a Streamliner 600 coming in end of march.

I'd love to hear your impressions when you pair them.

Owning a GS210, I'd be very interested in how they compare. Sound wise and weight wise

They are rear ported.. and when you lift them , they feel like boxes full of air.. real light.

Spoke with Dave when he was in San Diego recently about that. It has everything to do with the way the cross-over is designed in these new SL cabs.

Had two gigs with my Aggie SL 112 cabs and so far so good. My Streamliner 600 will show up some time next week. Eager to hear what cabs are giong with it. The Berg AE 410 or the SL cabs.
