First new amp purchase.

Would like some input on a logical first step in upgrading my bass amp? I just have a little Rumble 15 now for practice. I just started playing in September.

I'm about to start playing with some other guys now and want to buy a new amp. Any suggestions for no more than 400 bucks would be nice.

Used amp, 400-500W + 4x10 cab or 2x12 later upgraded with another 2x10 or 2x12.

Scan craiglist, used gear at music stores and so on. If you save a little bit more you might get a good used GK 700RB + cab setup. Especially now when many bass players trade in such systems for Class-D light-weight amps.

My first amp after a long layoff was a Rumble 60. I then bought a used Ampeg Head and a new 410Ampeg cab. I would rather get a new cab to start but thats my opinion,
4 ohm heads are always for sale used. Try GC or SamAsh's used dept....................
