First show with my SVT350H.

Ok, I recently bought a used but in brand new condition 350h off craigslist for 250 bucks. I was using an older b2r, but recently it just has been having tons of problems. I liked the sound i was getting from it, so i decided to try out the 350h. The main selling point for me is that its a MIA model, and in insanely good shape.

So i played my first show with it last night. A decent sized bar gig with no PA support for my rig. And my god, that thing blew me away. First off, for being the same power rating as the b2r, this thing is tons louder. I had the volume knob at a fraction of what i used to have it on in this venue, and it was a little bit louder than usual. Tons of headroom, and the sound was GOOD. The gain was nice and warm, and my overall tone sounded head and shoulders above my b2r. I was honestly a little bit concerned going into the purchase over some of the reviews ive read on here, but im glad i did it, and not just get another b2re. And its nice to have a nice matching set now.

And I know, no pic no head, so here ya go.

Good times sir, good times. Glad you like the new head and that it totally rocked for you. I will be honest, I am one of those who did not give the SVT350H a good review on here, but I love tubes so take that with a grain of salt. What cab is it setting on? And let me be the first to say it, nice looking Jazz your thumping away at!

Glad it worked for you. I could not get the 350H loud enough at rehearsal. We were loud but not that loud. I only owned mine for like a week.

CARRY A BACKUP!!! I had one of those for a while and it ended up going down on 2/3 gigs in a row. Got rid of that sucka (after using my GK MB150 as a backup head). Using a GK 400RB now

Dont get me wrong, id kill for its big brother. But, since im really strapped for cash right now, it gets the job done, and done well. I also use a VT pedal with it, so some people dont even know the difference. Its sittin' on a SVT410cl. Another craigslist find. Its beat to hell, but for 150 bucks, i couldnt pass it up. And thanks about the bass, its a frankensquier/fender, but its amazing. Im really able to get the old school gainy trebley punk rock tone that i want out of the whole rig. Its nice.

And, i meant to ask in my original post but I cant find a whole lot of info on the difference between a made in america 350h and when they started getting made else where. Does anyone here know really? Just better quality parts, perhaps?

Should be a cool rig- that!!! With the 410 cab!! Congrats

I didn't give the B2R/SVT350H MUCH chop either, but I recently tried a B2R & I actually really liked it.

I'm sure yours sounds great & If YOU are liking it- thats the main thing- well thats all I care about anyway.

I used to have an SVT-350H. It was fun, especially with the mids turned up a bit.

I wish I could have kept it as a backup, but I had to sell it after buying my new head.

Yeah I totally felt the same way when I used a B2R again a few months ago. crank that mid level & it's an aggressive sounding beast- I A/B'd it with my LMII I had there & -nite 'n day!!

Neutral sounding with EQ ability-LMII

Middy agressive Ampeg sound- with not quite as effective EQ abilty. B2R

I liked both- for totally different tones & reasons!
