First time with a tube pre: Shuttle 6.0

I've been playing for 13 years and never played a bass through any sort of tube. I feel as if I've just discovered what tone is. My Shuttle 6.0 only has 1 12ax7 in the pre, so I can't imagine what a full tube head would sound like. But I am loving this tone and had to gush about it somewhere!

The great thing with the tube pre is you can overdrive the tube without having to be insanely loud.

Do you mean to imply there's something intrinsically wrong with insane loudness?
