My good friend is the A&R guy for Fishman, and he let me try out their new Fission bass pedal, which just became available. It's basically a 8-string pedal. Octave above, fifth above, and fourth below, switchable, with drive built in. First impression is that it tracks AMAZING no matter what bass I plugged into it a even if I played with a pick. You'll loose yourself for hours relearning STP and Big Wreck songs, and it really works well to stomp on live when the rhythm guitar player takes solo.

Anyway, I think it's kinda flying under the radar right now because it's so new, but it's worth checking out.

I must say when I saw the advert for this I was interested, especially playing in a 3 piece rock band.

Fission Pedal

These are going for $249.00 wholesale or $279.00 retail. Mine came in yesterday to Guitar Center (I ordered it). They are curently back order due to increased viewing of the NAMM show you tude video that shows it in use. Ken
