Fitzmaurice Omni w/ drivers I have?

Waiting for my authorization over at the Bill Fitzmaurice forum, so I figured I'd pose my question here to see if anyone can answer.

I currently have 2 Avatar SB112 cabinets, and while they do their job, I'd like to see if I can use the existing drivers in another enclosure (or enclosures), mainly to increase the efficiency and volume of the drivers.

IIRC, the 12's are Eminence Delta 12LF (possibly LFA, not entirely sure) as well as a pair of LA6-CBMR 6" midrange drivers... I see the LFA'a listed on speakerhardware.com. My father in law is a wizard when it comes to carpentry, so I have that side of things down.... I'm simply wondering if using the drivers I already have, to save money, would be worth my time compared to buying drivers new? I've had the Avatars for sale for a while now with little interest, which is why I'm asking to begin with. I'm looking specifically at either (2) Omni12 fullrange cabs, or one Omni 2x12.

Confirmation at Bill's site only takes a day or so. When you get the plans, they will have parameters listed, drivers that fall inside those parameters will be suitable. I'm going to go ahead and guess your 12's may be useable as those were recommended drivers in some models before the higher grade neo drivers came out. Not sure about the closedback 6. I thought the larger omni's used to use the alpha8mr, I could be wrong though.

What Will said...lol.. I have a O15TB w/the same driver setup.. the Delta 12LF's are a recommended driver. Since I built it, Bill has updated the plans to use a 6"mid, but I don't recall which one it is. The plans will reveal..
