fixing my old ampeg combo

Sign in to disble this ad
my old ampeg ba-115 recently crapped out (had it since either 2004 or 2005) and I've been trying to figure the issue out. Finally got around to taking it apart and turns out the fuse was blown. With high hopes I went out, bought the same type of fuses with the hopes of that being the only issue. I place in a new fuse, plug the power in, turned it on and...............fuse blows and the amp hums for a second. Turns out, the most likely problem would be that the output transistors are blown. And the other problem I encountered was that these types are obsolete. Checked digikey, nothing, checked mouser, again nothing. The transistor types are IRFP9140R and IRFP140R. If anyone knows where I can find these types of output transistors that'd be helpful as I'm trying to sell this amp. If anything I'd like to be able to at least find a substitute for these parts. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you much!
