What do you think you're hearing on BBC? The amps mic'd on stage or some DI?
What do you hear on Flea's recordings?

It's all a mystery.

On stage they run a mic that is mounted in the grill on one of the 410RBH's mixed with the DI. I don't know what the mix is.

They would've had a hard time making this into a Scooby Doo episode, that's for sure...

So, to get back to the question, did the Acoustics not live up to all the hype?

It might simply be a matter of the Acoustic Amps being too difficult or $$$ to ship from the States. Maybe there are none in Europe at the moment.
