Fliptops 1x15 with SVT HCL

Sign in to disble this ad
Anyone have a 1x15 fliptops cabinet? Sealed or ported...I'm looking for a smaller cab for my Heritage SVT. I'm thinking a sealed 1x15 for the blues band I'm playing in (using a fender p-bass) might just be the nutz. Comments/ experiences are welcome

I have a 115 ported double baffle B-15 Fliptops cab. Fliptops won't wow you with they're stellar workmanship like Vintage Blue does with the double baffle cabs they make, but they make nice cabs in pretty much all varieties of vintage Ampeg whereas VB only makes early B-15 replicas. Me, personally, I have to have at least two drivers to be totally satisfied on a gig, and almost always use two cabs with my B-15, and if I were to go with a 115 it would be a fEarful or something similar.

But you didn't ask that Anyway, if it were me, I'd go ported 115.

I'm thinking about going with a 4ohm 115 to use with my SVT cl. Anyone have any experience with one of these? any other reccomendations?

Wish I could help you since your avatar is so danged cool but I have no experience with that particular cab...only with Fliptops, and they do nice work. You could maybe get a 115e and throw a 4 ohm Beta or Delta in it as an alternative, though. Would likely sound very similar no matter which way you go.
