footswitch for Eden

Sign in to disble this ad
Just bought a used Eden Nemesis ENX260 amp. It is the little 4 lb amp very similar to their WTX260, WTX264. Eden sells a 2-button footswitch for it (p/n EF2) but is out of stock and has nothing to say about when it will be available again.

The amp has a 1/4" female connector so assume it is a standard TRS.

Anything special about footswitches? Will any 2-button footswitch using a TSR 1/4" connector do?

If it's a simple mechanical switching unit, it's just a T/R/S with the tip being the connector for one of the two switches and the ring being the other. The switches just short the connector (tip or ring) to ground.

BUT, if it's got lights on the footswitch it may be more complicated, or it might have some logic in the foot assembly and need their foot unit to work. If it were me, I'd go to the Eden forum (http://www.eden-electronics.com/foru...t.asp?CAT_ID=1) and ask there. Probably a lot faster than here.
