Found a Good Video - Guy Playing Carvin...

Sign in to disble this ad
I found this video by checking out some new cymbals as I also play drums and came across this video wuith a guy playing a Carvin BX1500 and a new Neo 8x10 cab!

I always wanted to hear this set up and couldn't because CARVIN... doesn't seem to want to post very many videos of their gear being played.

Well, here it is:

I think it sounds great! Full and rounded. What do all you guys think?

By the way... for those of you who don't know... the new NEO 810 only weighs in at 104 pounds! (It says the wrong weight on their site, but I called and spoke with the guy who builds the cabs) Pretty cool and it's about time someone came out with a nice sounding lighter 810 cab!

Listening to youtube clips is pretty much a waste of time, as the sound you'll hear will be no better than the gear used to record it and that which you're listening to it with.

Well, it might have a bit to do with the sound, but I can generally tell myself.

But then, I have an Altec Lansing 400 watt sound system on my PC!

hehe... love it!

So basically you are streaming a severely degraded audio stream through an overpriced sound system. Whoop-dee-doo.

Apart from whatever merits might be there in terms of the rig, which can't be judged fairly at this point, I thought the band was sloppy and derivative.
