Frequency response for Eden, Mesa, and TC Electronics cabinets

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm comparing compact / lightweight bass cabinets, and one of my key criteria is the frequency response. Despite searching the web for a few hours, I can't find the frequency response for the following makes and models. Can anyone help?

Eden EX112
Mesa 1x12 PowerHouse
Mesa 1x12 Scout Bass Radiator
Mesa 1x15 Scout Bass Radiator
TC Electronics RS112
TC Electronics RS212

Thanks!

Unfortunately, reading those specs won't tell you the real story. The specs are given at certain frequencies, yet your bass produces a much wider range. Iow, specs are just about useless. A better option is to actually demo the cabs that you're interested in, and use your ears a s a guide.

+1. No manufacturer publishes the only useful form of specs, which are measured response charts. Try before you buy.

Just using the frequency response to help get to a short list of makes and models I'd like to try out. If anyone has the actually data, I'd really appreciate it.

Did you really mean 'frequency response' or did you mean tone?

Take Two: Said data is not published by any manufacturer. Some give limited specs regarding claimed frequency range and sensitivity, but without an actual measured chart those figures aren't worth the paper they're written on, and no one has measured charts.

I see. I have not noticed many bass cab manufactors publishing their frequency response charts. The cabs you have listed are probably all limited on the really lower ranges <40hZ, if that is where you are interested in.

Here is Edens - thought I didn't see Ex112 listed.

The PA/FOH department has cabinets with accurate measurements. Their customers demand it.
