| Fretless Sims via Digitech BP units. Okay?

I want a cheap FX unit mainly to get an occasional Fretless/chorus type thing going for some 80's tunes. Even the cheapest BP models from Digitech have the Fretless builtin. I'm not expecting mind-blowing here, just something to give the flavor.
I like simple and small and cheap. So no GT-10B or whatnot.
Anyone use specifically the fretless on the BP's?
