A fun Idea?

I recently bought a Genz Benz Shuttle 6 and an SWR Golight 4 Ohm 4x10 cab to replace my Fender Bassman 250/115. Before I sell the Bassman, I was wondering if it would be possible to run my new setup, then run an XLR-1/4 inch cable from the direct out on the genz benz to the input on the bassman, so I could have a 250 watt powered extension cab, with its own amplifier (and EQ!) running with my 410. A highly impractical setup, to be sure, but I was wondering if my reasoning is sound.

YES, but the bassman will be getting a pretty hot signal

If there is an effects loop or power amp in jack, pop it into there and it will be a slave to the master eq on the Genz.

however, be aware that doing this will remove any control over the volume of the 15 relative to tehe 4x10. e.g. it might be perceived louder, quieter.

and then you get into phase and comb filtering issues, bla bla bla.

Have fun with it though.

the phasing will be minimized by using separate amps imho, especially if you get two different sounds. however, i do agree with fettbass that it's overkill for most gigs.
