G-K Amp thru EBS Cab.

Does anyone think there would be compatibility issues if I purchased a G-K amp to play thru a EBS 4x10 cab?

I understand for marketing reasons some company's only want you to pair the amp & cab, but is this a cold hard fact?

As of right now I have the Grey Stripe Fafner which is a very nice amp. The switch is the problem with these amps, as is mines, I have to plug and unplug to power cord to turn on & off. Before you say just get her fixed, well I have, twice.

I always mix match my amps and cabs, If I use a combo than I have no choose. You can use what ever you like.

Cold hard fact? Never. You can pair pretty much any amp with pretty much any cab. The only issue I've ever come across is not exceeding the amp's minimum impedance. That and with the GK heads, if you want to use the GK bi-amp feature you have to use one of their cabs and the supplied cable which splits the signal into the "woofer" and the "tweeter". Which is definitely not necessary and you can easily get around this and run it full range using a standard cable into your EBS cab, just use the "woofer" output level.

It seems like you're making things harder than they have to be. I would imagine the GK through an EBS cab would sound great!
