All that cone area delivers a big full sound.
Personally, I have zero need to the 2001.
The 1001 is already more power than I need, and a much nicer size and weight, for me.

So far very pleased with all the different tones I can get with this head with low or high volume. |

I'll copy and paste what he said was wrong with it in his sale thread :
"GK Fusion 550, was working like a champ until the input started crackling, then went out and I am not getting sound. It has been just sitting so I figured I'd get a little out of it and pass it along to someone who cares to give it a look. I took the lid off to show theres no obvious signs of shorts, scorches, or liquid."
I wonder if there is an inherent problem with these heads or if the problem is caused by bad tubes. I didn't have mine long enough to find out. I wish I had some extra tubes laying around so I could have swapped them out , but I live over 1 1/2 hours (one way) from the nearest decent music store. Man that head sounded sweet when it wasn't crackling. I'm kinda gun-shy from trying another one since I'm so far in the boonies and I need a reliable amp.
