| | | Figure this is a good place to ask: Whats are some differences between the MBE and Neo series for GK? Also is the MBX any different? all these different names make it confusing to try and buy the right cab

horn attenuator for neo vs on/off switch for mbe

MBX are obsolete, they used ceramic drivers instead of NEOs no HMS "biamp".

Make sure it is a cab local to you, GC is not known for packing skills when shipping.

Think cliff burton. | Worked on that tone tonight, reconfigured my mids on the amp. With that and the comp, I was almost there. Seems like the comp is where it's at to smooth out the clankiness from digging in that I find necessary to get that sound. When I added the Bad Monkey, I definitely got a Cliff Burton tone, which is perfect for our cover of For Whom The Bell Tolls. Tried the comp last in the chain as well, started sounding very ODish by the end of practice, even with the Bad Monkey off. First time it's been in that spot and first time with that problem. Think they're related? I put it back at the start of the chain for tomorrow. I'd love some of your thoughts, and I'll post results tomorrow night. Thanks!

So your (let's say for a heavier cab ) little experiment will cost you $40 . They do not refund this money, you'll get a refund for the purchase price, but not the shipping.
back to GK..any word on NAMM things? I am not going this year. |

I have what is probably a stupid question about cabs: I have a 4x10 cab, and a 2x10, each is 8ohms (they're both yorkville's. same speakers and whatnot).
If I put them together, it would be 4 ohms, but the speakers in the 2x10 would each be receiving twice as much power as any of the 4x10 speakers, so it would be a bad idea, correct?
