It's probably not a very efficient match. You could never get your money's worth out of the 410 because you'd only ever be able to turn the volume knob up to the limit of the 210. But if you keep the volume within that limit, it might be ok. I mean, it's not going to fry anything to hook them up and make a little noise. As a convicted cab mismatcher, I would try to get two that were a little closer together in terms of their power handling.

Not necessarily, although the 210 will receive more power (most likely not max'ing them out) the added cone area of the 410 most likely will make the perceived output about the same. The two cabs will be louder than either cab on it's own.

Sure it won't break anything. They're both 8 ohms, that's 4 ohms, you're fine.

Nailed the tone tonight! Apparently, my active bass was dying, making everything distorted. Quick fix, and tone city! I think tonight was the best I've ever sounded, and I ended up not needing any of my pedals or anything for the sound. I did, however, adjust them properly to work with my new found tone, and have the clean tone, Bad Monkey tube grit, Bass Driver modern OD, and over the top Diesel Dawg sounds all at the press of a switch. Love my rig more every time I play it!

Hey guys, I was curious to know, I used my 1001 rb 2 and my neo 410 last night for the first time in practice last night and it did wonderfully! It actually took some potted plants down upstairs from the thunder it was puttin out

anyway, it was giving off a smell while playing it. Not a burnt smell but a scent none the less. Now I've heard that's somewhat normal but I want to make sure I'm not jacking anything up. Should I be worried? The cab is brand new out of the box mind you.

I occasionally get a smell from my Neo 410 as well, it's almost woody sometimes. I think it's normal, as my old combo amp did the same, though the smell was a bit stronger. My guess is that it's the wood or something that is having its scent pushed out with the air the amp is moving.

Some electronic components give out a plasticy, long-chain-polymer kind of smell when they're new. Especially when they're heated up from use.

Unless you smell burning, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

That's a pretty dead on description, "plasticky polymer smell". Thanks guys, I was pretty sure but wanted to make sure. I didn't want something to go wrong already. After the last month with all the equip problems I've been having, the last thing I wanted was something wring with my new babies. God I love GK products. Blow my mind. Literally. I could feel my hair shaking

One more thing, does anyone know of a site/link that I could go to for different eq settings for the 1001 RB 2 for tone?? I know it takes time but I'd like to experiment with others' ideas. I've been keeping the woofer at max with the gain being my "master" so to speak and keep the mid bass and bass high with the treble and mid treble down a little last half way. The contour up past 3 quarters and the presence a quarter up with boost half way. I'm looking to get a bassy sound with some punch and just a little click. Suggestions, links, sites etc??

Just start with everything at noon and tweak a little at a time. Dont be afraid to turn the knobs counter clockwise.

I also am finding some great sound the more I read this forum, take suggestions and tinker. This amp is amazing. I've never worked with one that's soooooo.....hmmmm....what's the word........its just awesome.

Just received a 400RB mark IV today ...

Tinkered with it a little . Had one years ago and missed it so I bought another brand new.

Still made in the USA. Yes ,most likely with imported components.
