Seeing as I now have a GK1001RBII with a 2x10 cab, I'm guessing the "mini-stack" of two 112 should be similar, if not louder that my current rig. I hate selling gear (just sold my Dr. bass 1580 and already miss it) but I like the idea of downsizing and clearing out some space. |
I got the MB112 -II a few weeks back. Traded another amp that cost a lot more for it and actually lost dollars but gained so much power and tone that it was worth the "loss"
its so frigging loud and clean for its size I almost thing the MBP will be too much for my needs
Nah! **** that...I am getting the MBP as soon as I can.
local store priced it out at $329 plus tax but I just got the MF catalog with a 15% off deal and the amp would be $297...no tax. I like to support local business but saving a few bucks is good too |

| | Wisconsin Bassist Club Member #1 | | Join Date: Mar 2009 Location: Northern Wisconsin | | | I am going through a major ordeal trying to receive the two GK Neo 212-II cabinets that I ordered from Musicians Friend over a month ago!! When I ordered the cabs I was told that they had them in stock even though they were on back-order!! While waiting for the back-ordered cabs they sent me one of the cabinets a little over a week ago. The problem is that the cabinet was a customer return and came in a box that looked like it fell of a moving truck!! I didn't even open it and sent it back for an exchange. This caused me to loose my place in line for the back ordered cabs so I may not even get my cabs in the next back-ordered shipment!! To top it off - I talked with a customer service team lead and he says it only shows that I now only have one cabinet on order even though I paid for two of them over a month ago. I've exchanged over twenty e-mails with the team lead trying to get things straightened out and things are still a complete mess and are no closer to getting resolved. This has caused my band to have to turn down gigs and we haven't been able to practice for a month now. I honestly don't know what to do because I want the GK Neo 212-II cabs to go with the new GK Fusion 550 that I just purchased even though they offered me to change my order to comparable cabs from a different manufacturer. I just want my Neo 212's!

If you can get it locally I would snatch it up. |

Sweetwater, too. | Definitely try RMC. Erick from RMC is a really nice guy and will try to help you get them soon even if they are on back order. Or maybe go with the 412 Neo..

The latest plan was to try a GK Neo 115-III to sit atop my existing Neo 212-II. But, depending on used availability, I may opt for just a second 212. I'd like to have one really light cab, but GC has a used 212 for $330. Hard to beat that.

I'm indecisive is all. Don't know how any of y'all put up with me.

I just got another back-order notification that it may be another 30 days and I've already been waiting a month. I just had a friend offer to borrow me a rig to get me by. I just got Jason from GK involved in this mess to see if he can help me out any. This hassle has caused me some extreme worries and stress!! They actually told me that they had them in stock when I ordered them! What a joke!!!

I'm indecisive is all. Don't know how any of y'all put up with me. | What head will you be using? I'm currently using a GK NEO 1x15 and SWR S.O.B 1x15 (4 ohm total) with my 700RBII and it roars. Eventually gonna snag another NEO to take advantage of the BI-AMP.
Edit: Just noticed you were speaking of 2x12's, not 1x12's. Still, the 2x15's get plenty loud with room to spare, so I could see it working well on a large stage as monitor, projection wise.
