Moving back to bass from guitar. I toured with GK when I was young and I've come back home.
I just got my new 412 cab ($600 from a damaged freight company, the box was torn up but the cab is perfect) and I bought my head used (mint condition for $150).
You don't want me in your club, I'd burn down the clubhouse and frame the president of the club for it.

If you gig a lot, an Escalera is great for heavy power amps and speakers etc. at venues with stairs, when you can't take your slaves with you.

| | | | Hey guys, quick question. I have an old 800RB and it used to sound great. But It hasn't been used in quite some time. So when I picked it up again (and removed some cobwebs,) it wouldn't turn on. The power cord and outlet on the wall are perfectly fine. But every time I flip the switch nothing happens. I'm not sure what seems to be wrong. Maybe a wire has disconnected or has gone bad. But can anyone tell me or give me an idea on what might be wrong. If anybody can help I'd love to know because I might want to fix it myself if possible. Thank you!

Really? It's one of the lightest cabs on the market. I only weigh about 50 pounds more than it does and I can carry it up many flights of stairs by myself. |

Being happy to do it many many many times for the case of a regularly gigging bassist, and always doing it safely no matter how tired you are after a gig are two very very different things.
Great cab, but I'm done with the big stuff. Thankfully, I've always been able to get all the stage output I need from a couple smaller and easier to manage cabs like the 115's or 112's.
Life is good for today's bassist with the latest advancements in high output light weight stuff! |

Should be right above the plug on the back panel. Unscrew the cap and look at the fuse. If the filament is broken or burned through, it needs replacing with the same type.

I'm not sure if it's a series 1 or 2 yet, I can only see a smallish picture of the front of the amp. It was a great price on GC's used site and it looks to be in decent shape along with 5 stars. So now I'll have an 800RB, MB200, MB500, 2001RB, and this. I have a problem...
Just out of curiosity, pending it's a series 1, is it possible to replace the attached power cable with an IEC? Has anybody done it?

As I get older my back is getting progressively worse, so schleping around my 4-12" NEO cab by myself is getting increasingly more difficult....... Which comes to my question: I'm considering getting a 2-12" NEO to take to jam, practice, etc. but I'm thinking about eventually getting 2 and selling the 4-12". The only thing that is holding me back is the $$$, ONE 2-12" costs about what I could sell my 4-12" used for on a good day. FWIW, I'm using a Fusion 550 head. Any suggestions??? |

2xGK Neo212 for 2xGK Neo 115
Dunno if I'm really committed to this, but, I thought I'd toss it out there and see if anyone was interested.
My 212's are lightly used, in great shape, grills painted black.
Photos on request, if you actually have 2x115 in similar shape to trade.
thanks!
