the 4 ohm 410 in that manual would make more sense than that 210.

I got a good larf out of the diagram when I scrolled down the pdf.

I bet the 800RB run wide open through those tens would sound huge.

I'm guessing you're referring to replacing the 8 ohm 2x10 cab hooked up to the 100W amp with the 4 ohm 4x10 cab? Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure that results in best case a blown amp and in worse case a fire.

My understanding is that 800's are great heads, but the 100W amp is not stable to 4 ohms. There are reports of 800's bursting into flames and I'm pretty sure that is almost always the result of someone incorrectly hooking up the 100W amp to a lower impedance cab and crankin' the volume. (see if you can find a pic of the back of an 800 to see how honestly EASY this is to do)

No disrespect to GK. I own and love their gear, but the original back panel on the 800s was asking for disasters like that.

Ah, typing brain fart there. No what I meant to type of course was that a single 4 ohm 410 would make more sense than two 8 ohm 410s, which would seem to more evenly distribute the wattage to each driver.

Come to think of it, three 8 ohm 410s would make just as much sense!

I'm definitely well aware of how the back panel on the 800 works, and its reputation for leading undereducated or possibly overinebriated bassists astray. I keep mine in a rack case and always worry that I'm going to be a knuckle head and plug a 4 ohm cab into the "hi" side and somehow turn it up....

My dream rig for this amp would be a modular stack of 3 8 ohm 12" or 10" cabs. Or just a Neox112T to stack on my 212.

I actually ran that set up once about 23 years ago. My band at that time was playing the last night of the Feast of San Genario in NY. it sounded huge for sure!!!

The cabs were all harktie. Two 4-10's for the lows and a 2-10 for the highs. Was running it bi amped but have no idea where the x-over was set.

The good old days.... :-)

Hey man, if you want the ultimate rig, we get to sell you the head, 3 cabs and all the cabling, not bad.

Actually, it might take that many smallbox 10's to generate the SPL in the lows that the same 210+tweet could in the mids/highs, depending on the xover setting of course, might do better with a 215 or even 218 as the bottom half.
