Anyone else use this combo? I have been using it for over 10 years and still couldn't be happier with the set up.

I have now a Neo 2x12, Neo 1x12 and Uber 4x10 and a GK RB1001II or MB Fusion. Switch out above for what need for the venue. My first rig was two Genz XB2 2x10s with an rb400.

I really love gigging with this combo. Sometimes I'll bring my Alembic or Demeter with a crest power amp but 99% is the GK/Genz.

Anyone else?

I think the GK RB1001-II/Uber 410T rig would be stellar. Two very solid performers.

I've migrated from an Ampeg SVT-CL & 810E to an RB800 into an 810T-XB3. I love the combination, but I can't help but wonder if I'd get better low end extension with a different head.

That's the rig I am using tonight for a wedding.

I don't know if you could get more low end using a different head. Worth a shot. I will say that my Uber 4x10 sounds great but wouldn't work as a sub. The frequency range just isn't there like some other 4x10's. Of course I'm not looking for a subwoofer in a 4x10

A 700rbII with the 5 string filter engaged would fill the bill. I had been rehearsing with an old rb800, but I really get more of what I want with the 700rbII. And it will grind..... I had mine grunting up a storm through a GK neo112 last night. I've run it through the ampeg 810, and it was spectacular. I bet it would be stellar through the Genz 810.

Well the RB 1001II and Uber kill! Shaking the roof on the place. I still have to say the the 4x10 doesn't handle the B string as well as my Neo 2x12. But the 2x12 is the most amazing cabinet I have ever played through.

Interesting. I have the Uber 410T and 212T but haven't had the chance to check out the NeoX 212. The Uber 410T has the max ultimate volume of the three but soundwise I wonder if the NeoX falls in between - a little tighter lows and more upper mid presence than the Uber 212T but a little bigger down low than the Uber 410T. I'd be interested in your thoughts on the RB1001-II/NeoX 212 pairing and how it sounds versus the Uber 410T. The quick attack and ample headroom of that amp should really slam with that NeoX 212!

The GK and Neo2x12 has been my "big rig" for years. The uber is a bit more punchy and I really like the tone of the uber just lacking when I use the B string with higher volume compared to the neo 2x12. I have only used the uber on two shows so it may not be broken in it. I haven't written it off yet but in a few months from now if I am having the same performance I'll have to sell it. Great cabinet just wont fit my needs as other 4x10's have. I may purchase an XB3 4x10 to see if it can handle the load. I would like to stay with Genz Benz as I have used the brand for over a decade.

Thanks for the tip...that grunt is an important reason why I like the GK sound. I remember plugging into a 700RB once at the store (connected to a 210 as a combo, IIRC) and being knocked out at the tone. I'll have to see if I can find another one to try.

Do people actually use the RB-series with non-GK cabs? Wouldn't it kinda waste the bi-amp output? I'm wondering because I'm thinking of getting one but I don't have a GK cab.

The little knob on the back of the cabs work fine for me.
