Gallien Krueger with Ampeg SVT 610

Hello everyone, I am new here to the talkbassforums. I have a Gallien Krueger 700 rb ii and I am wondering if it is safe for the amp to connect to an Ampeg SVT 610 cab? Do they match up ok? Forgive me on my little knowledge on this subject, I am barely starting to understand how this all works. Thanks.
