Gallien-Krueger Backline 600 vs Hartke 2500 (bass heads)?

Sign in to disble this ad
I am getting my first real Cabinet and need to choose between these two heads, i will be playing punk/hardcore and will be using it with a Hartke 400w 4.5xl cabinet(8ohms). At 8ohms they run at 180w i believe.

Also does the head being 180w at 8ohms mean that i will only be getting 180w out of the cab. I am playing with a loud drummer, and my guitarist is playing through a 150w amp.

From what I understood, the GK amps sound much louder because of its serial gain staging. It will sound like twice as much with the boost circuit kicked in. The tone is great also.
