I just bought this Gallien-Krueger MB112 200W 1x12 and i have to say its pretty amazing. Its small (28lbs) and sounds great. I was looking for a small combo that i could use for Practice and small gigs. I'll be using it Saturday for a small bar gig and really test it out. My usually rig is a Markbass Little Mark II with a Genz Benz 212T which would have been over kill for this gig.

Gain was probably at about 10:30 or 11:00.... so not cranked at all. No PA. a sample of "Chicken Pox" Live at Babushka Sept 2011 - YouTube |

| | | | Nice, i have an mbe 212 with a 400rb also 200 watts and i have difficulty holding my own against a drummer and two loud fenders. seems like your band is more moderate in volume though. I recommended that combo to my friend and i have used it in guitar center and at his house. Its a great combo for the price and its so nice and compact.

| | | I recently got a Mb115, and love the little dude to death. He has a name already xD GK makes a really good quality combo and I am glad I chose the Mb115 over the lower line Ampegs Ba112/115.
Mind if I ask what made you decide on the 112 over the 115? The place I got it (perhaps that could be it) had the 115 for about 70 bucks more and I thought the price difference was worth the investment. I understand 70 bucks can be a lot (especially those days I walked around with a dollar in my pocket for 2 weeks..) Just wondering

I like 10's but one 12 has the punch of a 10 with the roundness of a 15...

But what does it mean exactly?
Gig with an audience of 100 guys? 200? |

| | | | I have an MB112 on order, can't wait. I thought I was set on a Hartke A70 for home use until I plugged into the GK. Nice full tone and plenty of power for it's size.

I have not really had a 12 in a bass amp to have noticed. In your opinion does the 15 lack the punch that can be found in the 10/12? Or is it subjective?

| | | | Yeh, using an MB 115, love it but I'm looking for more power for outdoor gigs. Getting the price for the powered match from my local supplier. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
