Gallien Krueger MB112 vs. Hartke Kickback 12 vs. Ampeg BA112

Battle of the 12" combo's around 300$.

I have the big rig, but I'm looking for something for the coffee house sized gig which I'm playing more and more. My big rig is a GK, but I'm not too brand centric. My general tone preference is clean and articulate if that helps. Only has to be loud enough to compete with side percussion, or a jazz drummer.

The three listed here are the ones I've cut it down to, though there might be something I'm missing. Please don't bother suggesting a different amp at over twice the cost.

Thoughts ... ?

I like the Kickback 12 quite a bit, but my favorite of the 3 you list is the Ampeg BA112. It is one of the better sounding small combos out there IMO, especially at the price. I use mine to rehearse with and play small gigs regularly.

I've used both the hartke and the ampeg. The ampeg seem underpowered and the harkte seemed loud for it's size IME. The new GK stuff is great. I would suspect that the GK might be your best bet. It's lighter cheaper and has more power. I've never actually heard it though.

I'm a long time Hartke user (heads and cabinets) but I have to say I have seen a lot and I mean a LOT of Kickback amps with shredded drivers.

Just sayin.
