So I just traded in my 700RB rig for a shiny new MB115.

I really like the tone and I get a lot of sound out of it for only 200W, but for some reason when I take the volume up a bit I get some rattling from the amp.

Is this typical, or do I need to tighten some bolts somewhere?

Absolutely take it back. If it's new and broken, you don't have to deal with that yourself Warranties are there for a reason.
