Wondering if anyone has experience with that.

No doubt the effects out or line out would work well.

No doubt the effects out or line out would work well. | Well, I can get 1500w at 8 ohms, doesn't mean I actually "need" it.
From time to time I play in a situation where I much prefer a one trip load in. For example, playing outdoor car shows or festivals or playing downtown where I might have to walk quite a few blocks. I bring my power amp and 15/6 and I know I am prepared.

Ample drive to push them all to the limiter, without extreme settings. Not sure what that means in terms of driving a pro power amp.
Unlike other micros I've seen tested, the MB800 puts out well in excess of the factory rating (30% over at 4 ohms). The voicing is wider than the Genz micros, and can carry a lot of low end information if you let it.
Even if "all" it puts out is a true 500 watts into 8 ohms before it hits the limiter, that's a heck of a lot of real-world power. If your 15/6 isn't enough at that level, I'd be looking to add a 15 sub, rather than trying to drive it with 1500 watts. The 3015 is a great driver to be sure, but everything has its limits...

I recently puirchased the GK MB200. I love this little beast. What it can do, consistently boggles my mind and keeps me in awe. The punch it delivers just makes my Eden WT head sound, well, tired and bland.
I've owned a 800RB for many years, and it sounded nothing like the MB200.
Is it fair to say that the MB800 will have the same/close sonic signature as its 200 watt sibling?

The MB800 feels like it has lots of unfiltered low end that the RB doesn't. Quote:

My Eden: Still somewhat compressed, but warmer.
My MB200: Beastly, with tons of punch to give.
Simply amazed that this little $200 amp is punking my $$$ Eden
