Editor-in-Chief, Bass Gear Magazine | | Join Date: Apr 2003 Location: North central Ohio | | | I've gigged with the Neo112-II (in conjunction with a Neo212-II), and I have spent a lot of time playing through the Neo112-II and comparing it to other 1x12's. IME/IMHO, this is one of the best 1x12's on the market. There are a few other cabs which might rate a tad higher, but they are much more expensive cabs. When you factor in the price (and weight!), these cabs are pretty darned tough to beat!
I really like pairing them up with the 700RB-II, but the MB500 (or MB200) is another great choice. Being a fairly well balanced cab, it should work well with just about any head.
Hope this helps, Tom. |

I did search before posting - but did not find the other thread discussing these. Quote:

I pair them with a GK 700rb.
Basically, when not having enough volume would not issue I use only 1 cab.
I use both when I need to push things without house support.
They handle jazz, reggae, ska, punk, rock, etc... whatever you throw at it.
Bang for buck? This is it; the GK Neo112.
BTW, I didn't go with the 2x12 because most of the time I only need the 1, so I decided to cut weight for 75% of my playing and just get a second cab to cover everything else. |

The control is response and bringing up a little at time adds more high presence.
Here's the link to the manual for this cab. http://www.gallien-krueger.com/produ...0-B2_NEOOM.pdf

The biamp in the rb series heads gives you great adjustability. I also use a MB210 combo that I leave a church, I've paired it with my 212 and it sounded suprisingly good, an sick loud.
btw, I always trust TOM, he steered me tword GK and I will never turn back, great service too.

My load in and out is so easy, with a gig bag I can make one trip.
Cab sounds really good, pairing it with a 4x10 Neo Cab for an outdoor show.
I would buy another and I am guessing that would work for most gigs, one can or should handle most small and medium size rooms depending on the style of Music. I have been playing some 60's covers, and some original Celtic influenced Music. So there you have it, two thumbs up and a great value when you consider the cab is at a great price point and delivers the goods IME.
